The Parable of The Hidden Treasure, Matthew 13:44 ‘The Kingdom of Heaven is like treasure hidden in a field. When a man found it, he hid it again, and then in his joy went and sold all he had and bought that field.’ The man in this parable represents Jesus Christ, Himself while the hidden treasure represents The Kingdom of Heaven. But hold on, what is The Kingdom of Heaven? The Kingdom of Heaven is Christ and the reflection of Christ that abides within us all, buried deep on the inside of us. You know, your final form, your true self, yeah – him/her – that version of you is found only in Jesus Christ. So we, yes you and I, are the hidden treasure that Jesus Christ found for The Kingdom of Heaven abides on the inside of each and every one of us. And so just as the man sold everything He had and bought the entire field, so did Jesus Christ, our Lord and Saviour buy the whole wide world with His precious blood. For John 3:16 states that God so loved the world that He gave His only Begotten Son that we would not perish but have eternal life. Notice how the man didn’t need the entire field, He just wanted what was in it. He wanted the hidden treasure. In this same way, Jesus Christ doesn’t need the world but He wanted what was in it. He wanted The Kingdom of Heaven. He wanted us. So, He bought us, with His life. Now through repentance and through His salvation we can be reconciled with our Heavenly Father, one day in Heaven and on earth, as of now with The Holy Spirit. And we can also be re-introduced to ourselves, being conformed to the image of Christ, in this process, this gift we call life (Romans 8:29). Hidden Glory - through Jesus Christ, you can find the hidden glory within you.
