About this podcast
This show was created to inspire reading and teach a variety of life lessons to young people. It's intentionally designed to use in the classroom or to listen to on the go. On each episode, I will read a section of a book and talk about the lessons. The reading is done for you. All you have to do is sit and listen. A bonus is talking about these books and lessons with other people, especially in a classroom or group. The books I read on this show are my own. I co-write them with my business partner. NOTE: You may also hear me highlight other books that I read in my free time. You can binge a book at a time, or take them day by day. The episode titles keep each book and section organized and in order. *Read with a Fighter is also a YouTube series of the same name. I'm your host, Charlie "The Spaniard" Brenneman, former Spanish teacher and UFC fighter (hence the name of the show), and I currently speak in schools across the country. I also write books and create shows (podcasts/YouTube). I live by a philosophy: Life is a fight, and how you fight that fight determines where you go in life. I'm here to help you get back up when you get knocked down!
